Lead a fashionista to a store, she will find a reason to shop. And I got plenty of reasons to shop during my Spanish holiday, what with the crazy amount of stores in Barcelona’s Plaza de Catalunya, Sevilla’s Nervion and Madrid’s Gran Via. There were stores selling everything I could dream about—clothes, shoes, bags, and makeup. And the quintessential Spanish department store El Corte Ingles was everywhere.
But fashion is not truly enjoyed till it has been shared. So here’s some of the wonderful clothes I picked up across Spain. (yup, some of them still got tags on them—they’re too pretty to wear!).
Dress from Zara
This bright floral dress is an absolute delight… eye-catching, bang on trend and very, very flattering.
Skirt from Zara
This colour-blocked skirt is versatile enough to be worn casually, at a formal business meeting or to a party.
Top from Desigual
I loved this Spanish brand for its creative use of vivid and vibrant prints. And I especially loved this silhouette! I don’t usually like clothes and accessories with brand names on them (that includes Louis Vuitton monograms), but I liked the way the Desigual designers incorporated their logo on the back.
Tunic from TMT
Perfect for summer and it comes with a metallic camisole. Also check out the beaded embellishment—lovely!
Casual tee
This printed tee made heads turn at Mumbai airport (I wore it on the return flight).
Some wardrobe basics I bought:
- Formal trousers in black and dark blue (Mango and Zara)
- Beige formal skirt (Zara)
- Navy blue formal shorts (Mango)
- Couple of formal shirts/ blouses (H&M and Mango)
Which ones did you like?
